PSC issues exam-day guidelines for 46th BCS written tests

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced a set of mandatory instructions for candidates appearing in the 46th BCS written examinations (compulsory subjects), scheduled from 8 to 19 May 2025.

Key instructions include:

  • Entry deadline: Candidates must enter their exam halls by 9:45 AM sharp. Entry after this time will not be permitted under any circumstances.
  • Seating arrangements: Examinees have been seated based on even and odd registration numbers, with seats assigned randomly. Candidates are advised to arrive early to locate their designated seats.
  • Prohibited items: The following items are strictly banned inside the exam hall:
    • Mobile phones
    • Watches (of all types)
    • Notes or books
    • Scientific or programmable calculators
    • Smart cards or any electronic devices
    • Bags
  • Penalties for violations:
    • Any candidate found with banned items will have their exam cancelled and will be barred from all future BPSC recruitment exams.
    • Additional legal action may be taken under the BPSC Act, 2023, if necessary.
  • Security measures: Entry points will be monitored with metal detectors, and examinees will be checked in the presence of magistrates and law enforcement personnel.
  • Use of hearing aids: Only allowed with prior approval from the commission and a specialist doctor’s recommendation.

The BPSC urges all candidates to follow the instructions strictly to ensure a fair and smooth examination process.
