Revised marks distribution for National University admission test

The National University of Bangladesh has revised the marks distribution for its 2024–25 undergraduate (honours) admission test. The application deadline has also been extended to 20 March at midnight, and the admission test is scheduled for 3 May.

As per the revised structure, the 100-mark MCQ exam will have separate subject-based questions for Science, Humanities, and Business Studies students. The breakdown is as follows:

Bangla – 20 marks, English – 20 marks, General Knowledge – 20 marks, Subject-based questions (specific to each stream) – 40 marks

Candidates will have one hour to complete the test, with a passing score set at 35.

Merit list criteria

The final merit list will be based on a total score of 200, calculated as follows:

Admission test score – 100 marks,

40% of SSC GPA (including the fourth subject) – 40 marks,

60% of HSC GPA (including the fourth subject) – 60 marks

All other admission requirements and conditions from the original 20 January admission circular remain unchanged.

Interested applicants must complete their application via the National University admission portal (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions), with a Tk700 application fee.
