Second round of migration and waiting list announced for government medical colleges

The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) has completed the second round of the automated migration process for students admitted to the MBBS programme in government medical colleges for the 2024-25 academic session. Following this, 32 students from the waiting list have been provisionally selected for admission into vacant seats across various institutions, based on merit, preferences, and seat availability.

Migration process details

Students benefiting from the migration must contact the principal’s office of their current college to complete all formalities between 25 March and 9 April 2025. Failure to do so within this timeframe will result in the cancellation of their enrolment at both institutions. Similarly, those selected from the waiting list are required to report to the principal’s office of their designated medical college within the same period to finalise admission procedures. Local admission committees and medical boards, established by the respective principals, will verify original documents and conduct health examinations. All other admission conditions outlined in previous DGME notifications remain unchanged.

Required documents for admission

Provisionally selected candidates from the waiting list must present the following documents:

  • Admit card of the 2024-25 MBBS admission test
  • Original registration card of the HSC or equivalent examination
  • Academic transcripts/mark sheets of both SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations
