For the first time in its history, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) will organise an Eid celebration, embracing the country’s diverse cultural heritage. The event, titled :Elo Khushir Eid,’ will take place at Nandan Moncho on 30 March from 7pm onwards, coinciding with Chand Raat (the night before Eid).
BSA has shared the event’s poster with the media but has yet to disclose further details. However, Cultural Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki confirmed the news on social media, stating that Shilpakala Academy aims to celebrate the nation’s rich diversity. “Bangladesh is a land of many languages, beliefs, and religions. The politics of division are no longer welcome here,” he wrote.
The announcement has been widely shared by CA Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam and others, with netizens praising BSA’s initiative to host an Eid celebration for the first time.
