A release of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate stated it this afternoon (1 March).
On the day of total lunar eclipse will see the moon spend 58 minutes and 18 seconds fully inside earth’s umbra.
It has the highest magnitude of about 1.115, meaning the moon just passes full inside earth’s shadow.
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the moon’s near side entirely passes into the earth’s umbral shadow.
End of the partial phase of this eclipse will be visible in Bangladesh just after moonrise if the sky remains clear, it said.
The moon will enter penumbra at 02:42pm (Bangladesh Time) and enter totality at 5:03pm on 3 March while leave penumbra at 8:24 pm on the day.
The sighting will begin at 6:01 pm in Dhaka, at 6 pm in Mymensingh 5:56pm at Chattogram, 5:54pm at Sylhet division, 5:05pm at Khulna, 5:01pm at Barishal, 5:07pm at Rajshahi and 5.04pm at Rangpur division, the release added.
This eclipse’s sighting in the divisional cities of the country starting from 6.01pm will end at 8:28pm at Rangpur Division, the ISPR added.
