The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2025 have undergone a schedule change, with the Mathematics exam now set to take place on 21 April. The revised routine was officially released by the Dhaka Education Board on Wednesday, 19 March. The exam was initially scheduled for 20 April, which coincided with Easter Sunday, prompting discussions that led to its postponement.
According to the updated timetable, the SSC theoretical exams will begin on 10 April and continue until 13 May. As per tradition, the examinations will commence with the Bangla First Paper and conclude with the Bangla Second Paper. The theoretical exams will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while the practical examinations are scheduled between 15 and 22 May.
The new schedule also reflects an earlier adjustment for the Bangla Second Paper exam, which was initially set for 13 April but later postponed to 13 May due to the Baisabi festival. The revised dates ensure that no exams coincide with significant cultural or religious observances.
Key dates include the Bangla First Paper on 10 April, English First Paper on 15 April, and English Second Paper on 17 April. The Mathematics exam will now be held on 21 April, followed by Religion on 22 April, ICT on 23 April, and Science on 4 May. The final theoretical exam, Bangla Second Paper, will take place on 13 May.
