Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed has proposed the formation of a special fund of Tk100 crore to create youth entrepreneurs in the country.”In order to create self-employment, the loan ceiling has been increased to Tk5 lakh for successful youth entrepreneurs across the country. In addition, I propose to form a special fund of Tk100 crore to create young entrepreneurs. This is the first time such a fund has been created for young entrepreneurs,” Salehuddin said in his budget speech today (2 June).”
A project has also been taken to create self-employment for the family members of those injured and martyred in the July uprising.
In order to involve the youth more deeply in the development of the country, I propose to allocate Tk100 crore for the celebration of the ‘Youth Festival’ in the next fiscal year.”
