The programme is open to all creators, with no invite lists or minimum audience size required, reported by TechCrunch. It encourages participants to create original content using Picsart tools for specific campaigns, share it on their social media channels and earn revenue based on audience engagement.

Picsart said the initiative is designed to reward creative output and performance rather than follower count or scale. With this move, the company is positioning itself not only as a creative tool but also as a platform where users can generate income, aiming to attract and retain creators.

Once enrolled, creators gain access to a dashboard displaying available prompts and creative challenges. For instance, a campaign may invite users to generate themed content such as animated characters using Picsart Aura, the platform’s AI-powered assistant capable of producing and animating images and videos through text or voice prompts.

The company noted that simply generating and posting AI images without meaningful creative input is unlikely to result in strong engagement or earnings. After creating content, users must submit a form with the live URL, tag it according to campaign guidelines and provide a brief description of the creation process. Content is typically shared via platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X.

Earnings are calculated based on metrics including views, comments, shares and reach. Creators can monitor their income through the dashboard and withdraw funds via Stripe.

“We have always believed that creativity should be for everyone, and now so should the rewards,” said Hovhannes Avoyan. He added that the programme aims to address gaps in how everyday creators are compensated, offering a structured and accessible way to earn based on performance.

Founded in 2011, Picsart has more than 130 million users worldwide and achieved unicorn status in 2021 during the rapid growth of the creator economy.

The launch follows a recent announcement that Picsart is developing an AI agent marketplace, where users will be able to hire AI assistants for tasks such as resizing and remixing social content or editing product images for platforms like Shopify.
