Responsibilities & Context

  • Position Location: BAIUST, Cumilla
  • Subject Areas: Registrar’s Office (Admin)

BAIUST solicits applications for the post of Asst. Registrar (Procurement, Logistic & Admin) under the Registrar’s Office (Admin). The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Liaison with offices, department on logistics and protocol matters.
  • To provide logistic support as per requirement of the office and Academic department.
  • Maintains administrative and logistical files with necessary confidentiality where required.
  • Draft policies or procedures for effective logistics management and all Admin related activities of the University.
  • Ensure the organizational procurement policies, procedures and implementation.
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery of Admin requirements.
  • Work closely with colleagues, including those in Finance, HR and Faculties, to ensure coordination on relevant issues.
  • Responsibility for the continuous improvement of office management, operation systems and procedures, to enhance the quality and effectiveness of service provision to the institution.
  • Verifies the monthly vehicles report and preparation of the logistics monthly report.
  • Oversees and ensures proper maintenance and management of vehicles and drivers e.g. repair, maintenance, monthly mileage check, usage purposes as well as licenses and insurance coverage.
  • Any other related jobs as assigned by the University authority.

Requirements

Education

  • Master’s degree in any discipline from any reputed Public Universities, Army Universities or reputed private Universities.

Experience: At least 6 years

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 6 (Six) years of administrative experience to related field (Procurement, Logistic & Admin) Govt/Semi Govt./Autonomous/Private organization Or, a retired officer of the Bangladesh Army with a rank of at least Captain (Capt.).
  • Experience for qualified army person At least Captain (retd.) may be considered.
