The Southampton Presidential International Scholarship offers international students the opportunity to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate Master’s degrees at the University of Southampton in 2025. This competitive scholarship provides either a 100% tuition fee waiver or a £10,000 tuition fee reduction, with the award amount determined by the strength of the application. Undergraduate scholarships cover each year of study, while postgraduate scholarships cover the first year. A total of 25 scholarships are available, with 10 full fee waivers and 15 £10,000 awards. The university encourages applications from all eligible programmes of study, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. To be eligible, applicants must have applied for and received an offer for a University of Southampton course before applying for the scholarship, and must be classified as an overseas fee-paying student. This scholarship is not available for PGCert, PGDip, Foundation, PGR, Distance Learning, partner institution, Malaysia campus, CPD, Faculty of Medicine undergraduate, or pre-sessional English (standalone) courses. Selection is based on a rigorous five-stage process, including eligibility checks, application form scoring, academic qualification assessment, and a final review by a scholarship panel chaired by the Vice President International.

• Application Requirements:
  • Must have applied for and received a course offer from the University of Southampton before applying for the scholarship.
  • Must be classified as an overseas fee-paying student.
  • Must not be in receipt of any external scholarship equal to or greater than the tuition fees.
• Language Criteria:
  • Language criteria are determined by the course applied for, and proof of English proficiency is required for admission to the University of Southampton. Please refer to the specific course requirements.
