The Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation has announced its Education Scholarship Programme for 2024, inviting applications from students who have passed the SSC or equivalent examinations this year. This initiative aims to support meritorious yet financially underprivileged students across Bangladesh in pursuing their academic aspirations.
According to the foundation, students from both divisional city corporation areas and rural regions are eligible to apply, with slightly varying GPA requirements. Science students from city corporation areas must have achieved a GPA of 5.00, while their counterparts from outside city corporations require a minimum GPA of 4.80. For students from other disciplines, the minimum GPA requirements are 4.80 for city corporation areas and 4.50 for outside regions.
The scholarship programme has outlined a few special conditions. Priority will be given to students whose family income does not exceed BDT 2,00,000 per year. Applicants must submit the completed application form, along with two passport-size colour photographs and attested copies of certificates and marksheets. Incomplete applications or any false information will result in immediate disqualification.
