University of Cambridge offers fully funded online course for Bangladesh professionals on Sustainable Development and the Law

In a significant step toward fostering climate justice and sustainable development, the University of Cambridge has partnered with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (Bangladesh) to launch a fully funded online course titled Sustainable Development and the Law.

The programme, made possible through collaboration with the Friendship Academy of FRIENDSHIP and the Centre for Climate Justice–Bangladesh, is set to benefit 150 Bangladeshi professionals through prestigious scholarships.

These scholarships are distributed across three key groups:

  • 50 for Civil Servants
  • 50 for Law or Graduate Students
  • 50 for NGO Professionals

The initiative aims to build legal and environmental expertise among Bangladesh’s key change-makers to better equip them in tackling climate challenges through legal frameworks and sustainable development strategies.

Interested candidates can apply through this link, provided in the official notice. The deadline for application submission is 8th May 2025.

This collaboration underscores Cambridge’s ongoing commitment to inclusive climate action and Bangladesh’s drive to upskill its climate policy actors for a greener, more just future.
