The 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams are set to begin on 26 June. Ahead of the exams, education boards have issued 10 specific guidelines for examinees:
- Arrive 30 minutes early:
Students must be seated in their assigned seats at least 30 minutes before the exam begins. On the first day, they must arrive at 9am to locate their seat. Traffic delays should be considered. - Fill in OMR sheet correctly:
Candidates must carefully write their roll number, registration number, subject code, and board name using a ballpoint pen, and fill in the corresponding OMR circles accordingly. - Do not fold answer scripts:
Folding answer sheets can damage the attached OMR section. Avoid folding under any circumstances. - Use only approved calculators:
Only general scientific (non-programmable) calculators are allowed, such as FX-82MS, FX-991EX, FX-991CW, and similar models. Advanced programmable models are strictly prohibited. - No break between exam sections:
Each paper includes multiple-choice and creative/written sections, which will be conducted without any break in between. - Mobile phones strictly prohibited:
No student is allowed to carry a mobile phone into the exam centre during the exam. - Separate pass required in each section:
Candidates must pass MCQ, creative/written, and practical sections (where applicable) separately. - Sit for registered subjects only:
Students can only sit for subjects listed in their registration card and admit card. - Seating at different centres:
No student will take the exam at their own institution. All seating arrangements will be made through centre transfers. - Sign the attendance sheet:
Examinees must sign the attendance sheet for each part of every exam.
Education authorities urge all candidates to strictly adhere to these instructions to ensure a smooth and fair examination process.
