A notice signed by ASM Kashem, senior assistant secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, announced on Sunday (29 June) that the first meeting of the search committee to appoint the new vice-chancellor of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) will be held next Wednesday (2 July 2025).

The committee will review the applications submitted for the vacant vice-chancellor position and make a decision accordingly. The meeting is scheduled for around 3:30 pm at the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the chairmanship of Professor Dr Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, adviser to the Ministry of Education.

UGC member Professor Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan, Professor Dr Md Saidur Rahman, Rajshahi University vice-chancellor Saleh Hasan Naqib, and Professor Ferdous Azim of BRAC University have been asked to attend the meeting.
