Stamford University Bangladesh appoints Prodeepto Mobarook as Head of PRD

Renowned poet, journalist, and essayist Prodeepto Mobarook has joined Stamford University Bangladesh as Head of the Public Relations Department (HOD-PRD), marking a significant chapter in his distinguished career. Known for his profound literary contributions and professional dedication, Mobarook previously led public relations at Uttara University.
Born on 25 May in Moutupi village, Bhola, Mobarook was deeply influenced by his maternal grandfather, Dr Md. Abul Kashem, a respected freedom fighter and educator. This heritage instilled in him a strong sense of patriotism and passion for literature. He completed his schooling in Alinagar before earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Bengali Language and Literature from the University of Dhaka. His academic pursuits extended to specialised research on Bengali poetic rhythm at Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.
Mobarook’s poetic works, often rooted in themes of love, rebellion, social consciousness, and patriotism, have been widely published in prominent national newspapers in Bangladesh and Kolkata. His modernist style and powerful voice have secured him a unique place in Bengali literature. His well-known poems include Radha Prem, Bishonno Shundor, Shunyotar Shaundorjo, and Porijayi, among others.
Beginning his career as a Senior Reporter at the national daily Samakal in 2010, Mobarook was mentored by his uncle Nasir Ahmed, a noted poet and journalist. He later transitioned to academia, balancing teaching, administration, and public relations roles. His essays on cultural and social issues, such as The Diversity of Nazrul and Women in Bengali Literature, reflect his deep engagement with literature and society.
Prodeepto Mobarook’s appointment as HOD-PRD at Stamford University Bangladesh promises to enrich the institution’s communication efforts, blending literary tradition with modern public relations to inspire a vibrant academic community.
