The Jessore Zila Parishad will award scholarships from its own fund for the fiscal year 2024–25 to meritorious students from underprivileged families who passed the SSC and HSC exams in 2024 and are currently pursuing higher education at various universities.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Applicants must be permanent residents of Jashore and currently enrolled as regular students at a government-approved educational institution.
2. Only students whose parents or guardians earn less than Tk75,000 annually are eligible to apply.
3. Applicants must have secured a minimum GPA of 4.00 in the SSC or HSC (or equivalent) examination from the science, humanities, or commerce stream. For students with disabilities, the minimum GPA requirement is 2.50.
4. Scholarship forms are available free of charge during office hours at the Jashore Zila Parishad office. Forms can also be downloaded from the official website: www.zpjashore.gov.bd. Forms must be filled out by hand.

Required documents:

• Proof of permanent residency in Jessore: NID, birth certificate, or a citizenship certificate attested by the mayor or union parishad chairman.
• Attested copy of the latest marksheet or certificate and one passport-sized colour photo attested by a first-class gazetted officer.
• Recommendation from the head of the educational institution or department.
• Certificate of financial hardship issued by the mayor or union parishad chairman, specifying the annual income of the applicant’s parent(s) or guardian.
• If the parent(s) or guardian is employed, an income certificate from the respective office head must be submitted.
