𝐎𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟏𝟖 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

The event was honoured by the presence of Professor Dr Moniruzzaman, Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh; Professor Dr Md Yunus Mia, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Associate Professor Dr Mrityunjoy Ashcharjee, Proctor; Professor Dr Ahmad Kamruzzaman Majumdar, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Associate Professor Dr Mahmuda Parvin, Chairperson of the Department of Environmental Science; and Prodeepto Mobarook, Head of the Public Relations Division, along with other senior officials, faculty members, and students.

The formal proceedings began at 10:00 am at the university’s Central Auditorium with a one-minute silence observed in solemn remembrance of those who were killed or injured during the 2024 anti-autocratic movement led by students and the general public.

In their speeches, speakers reflected on the atrocities and oppression carried out by the then autocratic regime against the protesting students and civilians. A documentary exhibition was also presented, portraying the massacres and brutalities committed during the July Movement.
