The event was honoured by the presence of Professor Dr Moniruzzaman, Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh; Professor Dr Md Yunus Mia, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Associate Professor Dr Mrityunjoy Ashcharjee, Proctor; Professor Dr Ahmad Kamruzzaman Majumdar, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Associate Professor Dr Mahmuda Parvin, Chairperson of the Department of Environmental Science; and Prodeepto Mobarook, Head of the Public Relations Division, along with other senior officials, faculty members, and students.

The formal proceedings began at 10:00 am at the universityโ€™s Central Auditorium with a one-minute silence observed in solemn remembrance of those who were killed or injured during the 2024 anti-autocratic movement led by students and the general public.

In their speeches, speakers reflected on the atrocities and oppression carried out by the then autocratic regime against the protesting students and civilians. A documentary exhibition was also presented, portraying the massacres and brutalities committed during the July Movement.
