IHRS marks ninth anniversary and Autumn 2025 Orientation at IUB

The Independent HR Society (IHRS) celebrated its ninth anniversary alongside the Autumn 2025 Orientation at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) Auditorium. The event brought together current members, alumni, faculty, and distinguished guests in a spirited gathering.
The celebration commenced with a welcome address by the Head of the Department of Human Resource Management at IUB, who commended IHRS for its enduring contribution to the university community. “Nine years of commitment, creativity, and growth—IHRS stands as a testament to what student leadership can achieve when driven by vision,” he said.
Ms Effat Binte Kabir, Club Coordinator of IHRS, highlighted key milestones over the years. “From hosting national HR conferences to nurturing leadership within our student body, IHRS has grown stronger with every passing batch,” she said.
Former Club Coordinators Mr Abdullah Al Ahad and Ms Nabila Kamal Promy also addressed the audience, sharing their insights and encouragement. “IHRS has evolved into more than just a student club—it’s a platform where future HR leaders are nurtured,” Mr Ahad remarked.
IHRS alumnus Mr Toriqul Islam Topu shared his journey with the club and the university. “This club shaped much of who I am today. To the new members: make the most of your time here—your journey is just beginning,” he said.
Co-founder and Chief Creative Advisor Mr Tushar Roy recalled the founding vision of IHRS. “The club was built on ideas, passion, and the courage to start something new. That spirit still lives on,” he noted.
Current President Mr Shahrukh Bin Hannan Priom unveiled the club’s upcoming initiatives, including a CV Bank, Member Certification, Safeguard Policy, and Brand Guidelines. “Our goal is to equip members with practical tools, ensure a safe and inclusive environment, and build a consistent brand identity,” he said.
In a keynote address, Founder and Chief Advisor Mr Md Aminur Rashid reflected on IHRS’s growth. “Seeing how IHRS has flourished fills me with pride. The torch has been passed on brilliantly through the years,” he noted.
Additional remarks were delivered by Research and Development Advisor Mr Mahabub Rabbani Aritro and Communication Advisor Ms Tanjila Reza, along with alumni and the club’s former Vice President and Operation Advisor. They all acknowledged the club’s impact on personal and professional growth.
