Dhaka University Film Society (DUFS), under its flagship programme “Pathchakra,” hosted an exclusive film screening and interactive discussion session with award-winning filmmaker Nuhash Humayun on 7 August 2025 at the TSC swimming pool premises of the University of Dhaka.

The event featured a screening of Foreigners Only (2023), Nuhash Humayun’s critically acclaimed short film that blends psychological horror with sharp social commentary. Following the screening, the director participated in a candid, in-depth question-and-answer session with students, offering insights into his creative process, thematic choices, and personal journey as a filmmaker.

The open-air event attracted a large number of students and film enthusiasts from across the campus. During the interactive session, Nuhash shared his experience transitioning from comedy to horror, elaborated on the symbolism in his work, and engaged in thought-provoking dialogue with the audience. His responses—marked by humour, sincerity, and artistic reflection—resonated strongly with attendees.

The event aimed to foster critical appreciation of contemporary Bangladeshi cinema while bridging the gap between filmmakers and emerging storytellers. DUFS representatives expressed their gratitude to Nuhash Humayun for his time and generous exchange with the university audience.
