The National University has announced that the application period for first-year undergraduate (pass) programmes at its affiliated colleges will begin today (16 September) and run until midnight on 15 October. Classes for the new academic year are set to start on 13 November.

Key Information

  • Who can apply? Students who passed the SSC or equivalent exams between 2020 and 2022, and the HSC or equivalent exams between 2022 and 2024, are eligible. This includes students from vocational and technical boards.
  • Application Fees: The initial application fee is 400 Taka, followed by a registration fee of 720 Taka once admission is confirmed.
  • Important Rules: Students who are already registered in another degree programme at the National University cannot apply, although they can cancel their existing admission to re-apply. Dual admissions will result in the cancellation of both registrations.
  • Selection Process: Merit lists will be generated for each college based on SSC and HSC results. Tie-breakers will be decided based on a combination of GPAs and total marks, with priority given to younger applicants if a tie remains. The admissions process will proceed through two merit lists and two release slips. There will be no third release slip this year.
