In Bangladesh, child labour among children aged 5–17 has risen from 6.8% in 2019 to about 9.2% in 2025, with boys (11%) far more likely to work than girls (4%). Rural children and those out of school remain most vulnerable, with children not attending school four times more likely to be engaged in labour.
