The Department of Development Studies at the University of Dhaka is now accepting applications for the 27th Batch of its Professional Master of Development Studies (MDS) programme.

Programme Features

• Duration: This is an 18-month professional programme consisting of 3 semesters.
• Credit Requirements: The course comprises 64 credit hours, including 14 taught courses and an 8-credit thesis.
• Medium of Instruction: English is the medium of instruction for this programme.
• Class Schedule: Classes are held on Fridays and Saturdays.

Students can choose to specialise in the following fields:

• Development Economics
• Public Policy Analysis
• Natural Resource Management
• Social Development
• Development Management

Eligibility Criteria

• Academic Background: Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree with honours, BBA, BSc, B Eng, MBBS, or BDS.
• Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have at least a CGPA of 2.5 and no third division class at any level of their education.
• Advanced Standing: Candidates who already possess a Master’s degree are also eligible to apply.
