SAU concludes Hult Prize Campus Round 2025–26
The prize-giving ceremony of the Hult Prize Campus Round 2025–26 was held at Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU), celebrating student innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial solutions to social challenges.
The event was attended by students, faculty members, partners, and guests. Munsur Hasan Khandaker, Programme Manager (Operations), Skills Development Programme, BRAC, attended as chief guest. In his address, he highlighted the role of youth-led innovation and social entrepreneurship, stating that platforms such as the Hult Prize help young people develop solutions with long-term impact.
Members of the advisory board present at the event included Professor Dr Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Khan, Chairman, Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry; Dr Jasim Uddin Ahmed, Proctor; and Dr ATM Mahbub-E-Elahi, Treasurer, Sylhet Agricultural University. They praised participating teams for their creativity, teamwork, and commitment, and stressed the importance of building an entrepreneurial ecosystem within the university.
The programme was led under the guidance of Umme Habiba Tabassum, Campus Director, who said the competition should be seen as a platform for creating real-world impact.
“The Hult Prize is not just a competition; it is a mindset that encourages students to become problem-solvers and change-makers,” she said, adding that SAU students have the potential to represent the university globally through purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
The ceremony was supported by partners, including Career Hub – Powered by BRAC as educational partner; Q-Bistro Baluchar as food partner; PRAN-RFL Group as snacks partner; Perfetti Van Melle Bangladesh Pvt Ltd as confectionery partner; and FlexFume and Green BloomerS as gift partners.
At the conclusion of the campus round, Team EnzyLoop emerged as champion. Certificates and prizes were awarded to the winning teams in recognition of their ideas and efforts.
Organisers said the prize-giving ceremony marked the completion of the campus round, while encouraging students to continue pursuing sustainable and impactful solutions through entrepreneurship.
