ULAB CSE programme secures Washington Accord accreditation
The Computer Science and Engineering programme at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh has achieved a major academic milestone after receiving official accreditation from the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh through its Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education.
The accreditation brings the ULAB CSE programme under the internationally recognised Washington Accord, a global agreement among engineering accreditation bodies that enables mutual recognition of accredited engineering degrees across member countries.
University officials said the recognition confirms that the CSE curriculum meets international standards of engineering education, with a strong emphasis on outcome based learning, academic excellence and industry relevant skills. Graduates of the programme are expected to benefit from greater global mobility, stronger career prospects and expanded opportunities for higher education and professional practice worldwide.
Authorities at ULAB described the achievement as a reflection of sustained efforts by faculty members, students, alumni and institutional leadership to uphold quality education aligned with global benchmarks.
The accreditation further reinforces the university’s commitment to innovation, academic rigour and the development of skilled graduates capable of contributing to national progress as well as the global technology sector.
