ARTex brings FIFA World Cup-inspired creative platform to Butex
Bangladesh University of Textiles (Butex) is set to host a first-of-its-kind campus-level creative initiative inspired by the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, organised by ARTex, the university’s Art & Photography Club.
The initiative will be showcased through ARTex’s flagship event, Nirobotai Kolorob 7.0, scheduled for 30 April 2026 at Kolorob Prangan, Butex. By merging art and sport, the event aims to transform global football excitement into a platform for cultural expression, visual storytelling, and youth engagement.
At the centre of the programme is “EKPHORIA”, a national-level art and photography exhibition being hosted at Butex for the first time. The exhibition has drawn participation from students representing more than 40 universities across Bangladesh, making it one of the largest student-led creative platforms of its kind. Participants explore themes such as identity, rivalry, culture, emotion, and the global impact of football through their work.
In the lead-up to the event, the Butex campus has already been transformed through large-scale wall graffiti installations created by ARTex artists, capturing the spirit of the World Cup and turning the campus into an immersive creative space.
The day-long event will feature a range of activities, including live art competitions, T-shirt and tote bag painting, art and photography exhibitions, flash mobs, cultural performances, and a concert. These segments are designed to create an interactive experience that blends artistic creativity with the energy of global sports culture.
This year’s edition marks a significant expansion in scale, with participation from over 30 university clubs as partners and campus ambassadors. The collaboration has elevated the event into a national creative platform, fostering connections among young artists and creators from across the country.
Organisers say the initiative sets a new benchmark for student-led creative events in Bangladesh, as it is the first time a campus-based organisation has built a comprehensive artistic platform around the FIFA World Cup while hosting a national-level exhibition at Butex.
ARTex describes Nirobotai Kolorob 7.0 as more than an event, positioning it as a celebration of youth creativity, cultural exchange, and global connection. The organisers expect the initiative to inspire future large-scale creative ventures and contribute to the growth of art and culture within Bangladesh’s student community.
