The 58th modern World Snooker Championship began on 18 April 2026, marking 50 years at the Crucible Theatre in England. Last night, John Higgins staged a remarkable comeback from 9-4 down to defeat Ronnie O’Sullivan 13-12 in a final-frame decider at the Crucible, booking his place in the quarter-finals and ending O’Sullivan’s quest for a record eighth world title.
