The Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust has officially extended the application deadline for financial admission grants. Meritorious students from underprivileged backgrounds currently enrolled in Class XI or Alim 1st Year for the 2025-26 academic session now have more time to secure funding.

Key Update: New Deadline

According to the revised schedule, the previous deadline of 30 April has been pushed back. Students can now submit their applications online until 11:59 PM on 7 May.

Eligibility and Scope

This initiative covers students across all government and non-government educational institutions under the following bodies:

  • Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education
  • Directorate of Technical Education
  • Directorate of Madrasah Education

Available Grant Amounts

The Trust provides one-off financial assistance to help ease the burden of admission fees at various levels of study:

  • Secondary Level: £ (4,000 BDT)
  • Higher Secondary Level: £ (6,000 BDT)
  • Undergraduate & Equivalent Level: £ (8,000 BDT)

How to Apply: Eligible candidates must complete their applications through the official PM’s Education Assistance Trust website. Ensure all documentation is uploaded before the 7 May cutoff to be considered for this intake.

Eligibility Criteria and Documentation Requirements

To qualify for the admission grant, applicants must meet specific academic and socio-economic standards. Please ensure all supporting documents are scanned clearly for the online submission process.

  • Academic Performance: Students must have achieved a minimum of 60% marks or a GPA of 3.50 out of 5.00 in their previous final examination. A copy of the transcript must be uploaded.
  • Income Ceiling: The total annual income of the applicant’s father, mother, or legal guardian must not exceed 300,000 BDT.
  • Socio-Economic Status: Priority is given to orphans, students or guardians with disabilities or chronic illnesses, children of insolvent Freedom Fighters, and children of Grade 20 government employees.
  • Local Certification: A certificate from the Union Parishad Chairman, Municipality, or City Corporation Ward Councillor must be uploaded, confirming the student belongs to an underprivileged family.

Required Documentation

Applicants are required to upload the following digital copies:

  1. Head of Institution’s Attestation: A certification from the Principal or Head of the current educational institution using the official form provided by the Trust.
  2. Identification: The student’s Birth Registration certificate and the National ID (NID) cards of both parents.
  3. Photograph: One recent passport-sized photograph of the student.
  4. Financial Details: A clear copy of the online bank account details belonging to the student or their parent/guardian.

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Fully Digital Process: As the entire application system is online, there is no requirement to post or hand-deliver hard copies to the Trust office.
