Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) organised an investment education programme titled “Investment in Capital Market” for students of Thakurgaon Government College on 7 May 2026. The session was held at the Business Education Building conference room of the college.

The programme was presided over by Principal Professor Md Mokarrom Hossain of Thakurgaon Government College. Associate Professor and Head of the Management Department SM Zakaria attended as special guest.

Faculty members present included Assistant Professor Md Monowar Raihan, Deputy Director of BICM Md Sirajul Islam ACS, Assistant Professor Md Habibullah FCCA, Assistant Professor Shafaeuzzaman Khan and Lecturer Imran Mahmud, along with teachers from various departments.

The sessions of the investment education programme were conducted by Md Habibullah FCCA, Shafaeuzzaman Khan and Imran Mahmud, who provided practical insights into capital market and financial literacy topics.

BICM regularly organises training programmes and workshops on capital markets and financial markets for students of universities as well as government colleges. This initiative at Thakurgaon Government College is part of its ongoing efforts to expand financial literacy among young learners.
