Applications are hereby invited from eligible Bangladeshi researchers enrolled in PhD courses at public universities for the “Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust PhD Fellowship and Stipend” for the 2026-27 financial year, in accordance with the “Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust PhD Fellowship and Stipend Guidelines, 2021”.

Application Rules and Conditions:

• Online Application: Researchers must apply online at www.eservice.pmeat.gov.bd/phd.
• Timeline: Applications can be submitted online from 10 May 2026 until 11:59 PM on 11 June 2026.
• Academic Excellence: Applicants must have at least two first divisions/classes in their academic life (GPA 5.00 on a scale of 5.00 and GPA 3.00 on a scale of 4.00).
• Age Limit: The maximum age for fellowship application is 45 years as of the submission date.
• Required Documents (Upload):
  • Attested copies of all academic certificates and mark sheets.
  • Copy of PhD course admission/registration.
  • Research proposal (synopsis) in Bengali or English.
  • Certificates from the Departmental Head and Supervisor.
• Physical Submission: After online submission, the downloaded application form along with two sets of all relevant documents must be sent directly or via post to the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust, House No-44, Road No-11/A, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1209 within office hours by the deadline.
• NOC: Candidates employed in government, semi-government, or autonomous institutions must upload a copy of approval from the appropriate authority.
• Authority Rights: The authority reserves the right to cancel/modify this notice or reject any application.

In addition to the specific PhD notice above, the Government of Bangladesh has opened applications for the broader Prime Minister Fellowship Programme for eligible students, researchers, and professionals.
