The Department of English and Humanities (DEH) at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh hosted the ULAB DEH Reunion 2026 on 12 June, bringing together faculty members, alumni, and current students for a day of celebration, networking, and shared memories.
The reunion featured a range of interactive activities designed to encourage engagement among participants. Attendees took part in games such as Pillow Pass, Who Knows Me Better, and a raffle draw, creating opportunities for alumni and students to reconnect and strengthen their ties with the department.
The cultural segment of the event showcased musical performances by faculty members, alumni, and current students. A group dance performance by current students added to the festive atmosphere, while live performances by the bands GraveChant and Unforgiven Shadows further energised the audience.
The event concluded with a live barbecue night, allowing participants to continue conversations and celebrate their enduring connection with the department in an informal setting.
The venue was decorated with colourful displays and paper-crafted installations created by the Paper Canoe and the ULAB Literary Society, contributing to the vibrant ambience of the reunion.
Among those present were Professor Dr Shamsad Mortuza, Vice Chancellor of ULAB; Arifa Ghani Rahman; and Professor Kaiser Hamidul Haq. In their remarks, they emphasised the importance of maintaining the sense of community and lifelong relationships fostered through the department.
