Daffodil International University wins AMA Coffee Campus Futsal 2026 title
Daffodil International University emerged as champions of AMA Coffee Campus Futsal 2026 after defeating Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology in the grand final held on 30 June at the Mirpur Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium.
The three-day tournament brought together 32 private universities from across Dhaka, providing a platform for students to compete while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork and inter-university engagement.
Organised with the support of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), the tournament featured 16 knockout matches from 28 June. Teams competed in front of enthusiastic crowds as students from different universities gathered to support their respective institutions.
The final was broadcast live on GTV. Daffodil International University received the championship prize of BDT 500,000, while runners-up Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology were awarded BDT 200,000. Individual awards for Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer and Most Valuable Player were also presented.
The prize-giving ceremony was attended by Brigadier General (Retd.) Mohammed Mamun, executive director of Abul Khair Group, BFF Vice-President Fahad Karim, and other senior officials of the Bangladesh Football Federation.
The closing ceremony also featured a light show, cultural performances and live music, adding a festive atmosphere to the event.
According to the organisers, the tournament aimed to create opportunities for university students to showcase their sporting talent while strengthening connections among private universities. They said the event demonstrated the growing popularity of university-level futsal and reaffirmed the role of sport in promoting youth engagement and healthy competition.
