IBA-JU to host Negocio 3.0 sales strategy competition; registration open until 7 July
Communic, the communication club of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at Jahangirnagar University, is set to organise Negocio 3.0, an inter-university sales strategy competition for undergraduate students across Bangladesh. Presented by Prime NOW and co-powered by Polar, the third edition aims to test participants’ strategic thinking, persuasion and execution skills in sales.
The competition will be held in three stages. The first round, titled The Foundation, will take place from 11 to 13 July, during which teams will submit an online pitch deck. The second round, The Test, will be held from 17 to 21 July and will require shortlisted teams to submit a refined pitch deck along with a one-minute elevator pitch video. The grand finale, The Spotlight, is scheduled for 7 August, when finalist teams will present their strategies before a panel of industry judges at a five-star venue in Dhaka.
The competition is open to undergraduate students from universities across Bangladesh. Teams of three to four members are eligible to participate, and members may represent different universities.
According to the organisers, Negocio 3.0 differs from many business competitions by focusing solely on sales strategy and execution, without requiring online voting campaigns or social media engagement rounds.
Registration will remain open until 7 July. The registration fee has been set at BDT 550 per team.
The competition offers a total prize pool of BDT 220,000. The champion team will receive BDT 100,000, while the first and second runners-up will receive BDT 70,000 and BDT 50,000, respectively.
