UPB Excellence Scholarship 2026
The Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Bucharest, Romania, has issued an official notice inviting eligible Bangladeshi applicants to submit their documents for the “UPB Excellence Scholarship-2026”.
According to the official circular (No. 19.00.4000.530.68.020.26/962), issued on 10 July 2026, the application window will open on 15 July 2026 and close on 20 July 2026.
Required Documents
Applicants must compile and submit the following documents:
- Letter of Acceptance or an acceptance email from the University Politehnica Bucharest.
- PDF copies of all academic certificates and transcripts (including SSC, HSC, Bachelor’s, etc.).
- IELTS/TOEFL score report.
- Motivation Letter tailored for the scholarship.
- Statement of Purpose (SOP).
- Curriculum Vitae (CV), which must include a WhatsApp number and details of co-curricular activities.
- Passport copy alongside a copy of NID or Birth Registration.

Selection and Evaluation Process
Depending on the overall volume of applications and academic performance, shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview via a phone or video call.
The Embassy has emphasised that it does not hold the final authority for awarding the scholarship. The final decision rests solely with the competent Romanian authorities. Furthermore, the notice warns that any attempts to influence the selection process through telephone calls, personal requests, or external recommendations will be viewed negatively and could adversely affect the candidate’s application.
