IUB Programming club

IUB Programming Club, in collaboration with DevChangeMakers, organised an AI Builders Meetup at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), offering students and aspiring developers hands-on exposure to advanced artificial intelligence tools and real-world software development workflows.

The meetup featured live demonstrations and project-building sessions using tools from OpenAI and Cognition, according to a press release.

Md Shahriyar Al Mustakim Mitul, ambassador for OpenAI and Cognition, led the session and shared technical insights on advanced AI platforms, including Codex and Devin. He demonstrated how autonomous software engineering and code-generation technologies are transforming modern software development processes.

A key feature of the meetup was the practical workshop, where participants received complimentary access credits for Devin, Cognition’s autonomous AI software engineer. Participants were guided through the workflow step by step and collaborated in real time to build a live project, gaining practical experience in using AI agents to write, debug and deploy code.

The interactive session also featured Q&A opportunities with industry representatives, allowing students to discuss the future of AI engineering, explore emerging technologies and connect with peers interested in software innovation.

IUB Programming Club said it was grateful for the opportunity to bring advanced technological tools and industry professionals to campus, adding that the initiative reflects its continued commitment to bridging academic learning with real-world technological developments.
