Six students of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (Buft) have secured scholarships at leading universities in China, reflecting their academic achievements and interest in pursuing higher education abroad.

Three students from the Department of Textile Engineering and Management, Md Reza Mahamud, Shariar Antor and Sharmin Akter, received the CSC Silk Road Programme Scholarship, according to a press release.

Md Shahadat Hossain and Md Mehedi Hasan were awarded the President’s Scholarship, while Md Jahidul Islam of the Department of Textile Engineering received the President’s Scholarship at Jiangnan University.

The Buft Career Development Centre (CDC), coordinated by Admin Officer Rita Rani Das, supported the students throughout the scholarship process by providing guidance and coordinating applications.

Buft Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Ayub Nabi Khan also supervised and supported the initiative while encouraging students to pursue international higher education opportunities.

The university said the scholarship achievements demonstrate the academic potential of its students and their growing opportunities to pursue advanced education and professional careers internationally.
