Professor Imran Rahman, former two-term Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), has joined Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) as Dean of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship and Administrative Policy Advisor.

He joined IUB on 1 September 2026, bringing more than four decades of experience in academia and institutional leadership.

A former faculty member of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka and a former business school dean, Professor Rahman has extensive experience in institutional transformation, faculty development, governance and industry engagement, according to a press release.

In his new roles, Professor Rahman will focus on strengthening faculty quality and academic leadership and positioning IUB’s business school as one of Bangladesh’s leading destinations for business education.
