Sfuron 6.0 to bring photography, art and music together at BUP
Sfuron 6.0, an annual creative festival organised by the BUP Photography Society, is set to take place on 22-23 September at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) campus in Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka.
The sixth edition of the festival will bring together photography, art, cartooning and acoustic music, featuring creative works by students from colleges and universities across Bangladesh.
“Sfuron 6.0 is our attempt to create a space where creativity can be experienced beyond a frame or a canvas,” said Hasib Shah Aman, Lecturer and Moderator of the BUP Photography Society.
The festival will feature four segments: camera photography, mobile photography, art exhibition, and cartoon exhibition. Students can submit works under open themes, while alumni will have an exclusive non-competitive space to exhibit their work.
Students enrolled at recognised colleges and universities across Bangladesh are eligible to participate. All submissions will undergo preliminary screening and jury evaluation, with shortlisted works to be professionally printed, framed and exhibited during the festival.
The initial submission round is free of charge, with entries accepted until 16 September. Shortlisted participants will then have until 19 September to complete formal exhibition registration.
The two-day festival will conclude with a gala featuring curated exhibitions, acoustic performances, live interaction sessions and a prize-giving ceremony.
The event will be held at Bangladesh University of Professionals, Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka, on 22-23 September 2026.
