• Programme Name: Post Graduate Diploma in Garment Business (PGD-GB)
• Offered By: Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, with support from the Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh (under the SEIP/SICIP programme).
• Objective: To produce world-class managers for the garment industry who can incorporate industry best practices and act as change agents.
• Duration: 9 months (3 modules of 3 months each).
  • Module 1: Basic management subjects focusing on functional areas of business.
  • Module 2: Industry and trade-related subjects taught by industry experts.
  • Module 3: Industry attachment.
• Class Schedule:
  • Experienced Participants: Weekends (Fridays and Saturdays) and/or weekday evenings.
  • Fresher Participants: Weekday afternoons/evenings and/or anytime during weekends.
• Key Features: Tuition fees are fully waived, and financial allowances are provided to successful candidates. Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 (or equivalent in class/division system).
• Minimum Requirement: Candidates with a GPA below 2.50 in either SSC or HSC examinations (or equivalent) are not eligible.
• Experience Requirements:
  • Experienced Applicants: Minimum 3 years of work experience in the RMG sector.
  • Fresher Applicants: Applicants without work experience are eligible if they hold an academic background in IPE, Textile, or Business-related disciplines.
• Age Limit: Maximum 48 years as of the application date.
• Ineligibility:
  • Candidates previously enrolled in any PGD programme under SEIP/SICIP.
  • Candidates who have completed short courses under the SEIP/SICIP programme lasting less than one year.
