DSHE initiates MIS software to facilitate scholarship disbursement
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has launched an MIS software to facilitate the disbursement of scholarships, through Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), to students receiving merit-based or general scholarships under the DSHE’s revenue budget, as well
as to students who received scholarships from the Madrasah Education Board but are currently pursuing general education.
The DSHE has issued an order to this end.
The order has asked the heads of all relevant institutions and designated officials to complete the entry of accurate data, correct existing entries, and rectify any data that resulted in a ‘bounce’ (failed transaction) due to banking-related issues, using the MIS software (https://scholarship.dshe.gov.bd/DSHE-MIS/login) by November 19 next.
Data for students whose information has not yet been entered can also be added through this software.
For the students, whose scholarship payments have bounced due to errors in bank account details like incorrect bank or branch names, routing numbers, account numbers or inactive accounts, steps must be taken to correct their banking information and ensure the accounts are active.
In addition, heads of institutions have been instructed to assign two teachers the responsibility of ensuring the accurate entry of scholarship data.
The respective head of the institution or the designated official will be held accountable for any errors or irregularities found in the data entry or correction process, according to the order.
