UIU Mars Rover Team secures 5th place in US’ University Rover Challenge

United International University Mars Rover Team achieved the fifth place at the University Rover Challenge (URC) 2024, an international competition for university level students organised by Mars Society.

There were 38 finalists from 15 countries in this year’s competition, among whom UIU maintained their position as the highest-ranked Asian team for the third consecutive year.

The Mars Society is a United State based nonprofit organisation that advocates for human exploration and colonization of Mars and it holds the robotics competition every year to challenge teams to design and build a rover that would be of use to early explorers on Mars.
