BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola won the AIUB Inter-College Football Championship 2026, defeating Dhaka College in a tie-breaker in the final held at the AIUB campus on Saturday, 23 May 2026.

The tournament was organised by American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), with 41 college teams from across Dhaka Division taking part this year.

In the final, BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola faced Dhaka College in a competitive contest. The match ended in a 1–1 draw in regulation time before BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola secured the championship through a tie-breaker.

Dhaka College finished as runners-up.

Rafsan of BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola was named Man of the Final, while Nayeem of the same institution received the Man of the Series award for his performance throughout the tournament.

Professor Dr Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB, attended the prize-giving ceremony as the chief guest.

Professor Dr Md Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Dr Ziarat Hossain Khan, Deputy Director of Student Services and Welfare; Abu Mia Akanda Tuhin, Head of Public Relations; senior university officials, representatives of participating colleges and students were also present.

The championship was held under the overall supervision of Md Joynal Abedin, Coordinator of the AIUB Office of Sports.

Organised jointly by the AIUB Office of Sports and the Office of Student Affairs, the tournament is held annually to promote sportsmanship, leadership, discipline and mutual harmony among college-level students.
