The event included a dramatised adaptation of the poem সৎপাত্র by Sukumar Ray. Known for its satirical tone and wordplay, the poem was reimagined for the stage, with performers bringing characters to life through expressive dialogue, body language and strong stage presence. The adaptation retained the humour and social commentary of the original work while adding a visual dimension that resonated with the audience.

In addition, BUDTF presented a mime performance based on রসগোল্লা by Syed Mujtaba Ali. The segment stood out for its silent storytelling, relying entirely on gestures, facial expressions and movement to convey meaning. Despite the absence of spoken dialogue, the performers effectively communicated the essence of the story, demonstrating precision, timing and emotional depth. The audience remained engaged throughout the performance.

Overall, the event reflected BUDTF’s commitment to promoting Bengali literature through innovative theatrical forms. By combining classic texts with contemporary performance techniques, the forum created an engaging cultural experience that both entertained and underscored the relevance of literary heritage in modern artistic expression.
