BRAC University Pharmacy and Life Sciences Career Fair 2026 was held at the university’s Merul Badda campus on 11 August, connecting students and graduates from pharmacy, biotechnology and microbiology with around 25 leading employers from the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony as the special guest, Milos Mladenovic, Country Manager of Roche Bangladesh Limited, encouraged students to prioritise purpose and impact over job titles and to remain open to taking risks and pursuing challenging opportunities. He also urged graduates to build on the foundation provided by BRAC University and contribute to the future of Bangladesh, according to a press release.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Syed Ferhat Anwar highlighted the broad range of opportunities within the life sciences industry, spanning research and development, services, commercial operations and brand building. He stressed the importance of understanding the interconnected nature of the industry to identify one’s purpose and contribute effectively to the sector.

Registrar Dr David Dowland said BRAC University is making strategic investments in its students through initiatives including international partnerships and exposure to industry expectations, helping them prepare more effectively for recruitment and selection processes.

Tahsina Rahman, Additional Director and Head of Student Life, delivered the vote of thanks.

The programme also featured career talks by Md Irtaza Mahbub Akhond, Public Affairs Lead of Roche Bangladesh Limited, on “Beyond Boundaries: Unlock Your Future with Roche Bangladesh Limited”, and Nisbat Anwar, Chief People Officer of Renata PLC, on “Building Your Future in Pharmacy and Life Sciences”.

Treasurer Ariful Islam; Professor Aparna Islam, Assistant Dean of the School of Life Sciences; Sharmind Neelotpol, Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacy; Iftekhar Bin Naser, Chairperson of the Department of Biotechnology; and Nadia Sultana Deen, Chairperson of the Department of Microbiology, were present at the event.

Office of Communications Director Khairul Basher, Human Resources Department Director Shaharear Sayeed, Finance and Accounts Department Director Md Mashrur Rahim Sadat and Operations Office Director Mohammad Sajedul Karim Chowdhury also attended the ceremony.
