BRAC University Multicultural Club (BUMC) will host ‘Roots and Rhythms’, a cultural event celebrating indigenous cultures and promoting diversity, inclusion and cross-cultural understanding on 30 August at the BRAC University auditorium.

Scheduled from 2pm to 5pm, the event will bring together university authorities, faculty members, students from different countries and regions, and members of indigenous communities.

The programme will showcase indigenous music, dance and art, highlighting the rich cultural traditions and artistic expressions of indigenous communities in Bangladesh and around the world.

Organisers said the event aims to encourage cultural understanding, mutual respect and connections among people from different backgrounds while creating a space where diverse cultural identities are recognised and valued.

Through ‘Roots and Rhythms’, BUMC seeks to celebrate cultural heritage while encouraging communities to preserve and pass on their traditions to future generations.
