BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (Buft) participated in the Bangladesh-China Cultural Exchange Fashion Show, bringing together fashion, heritage, research and innovation as part of the Bilateral Fashion Show & Delegation Programme.

The event highlighted opportunities to strengthen collaboration between Bangladesh and China in silk innovation, research, technology transfer and sustainable industrial development.

The programme was attended by BUFT students and faculty members, along with Chinese faculty members. Faruque Hassan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, BUFT, and Vice Chancellor (Designate) Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan of BUFT were also present.

Li Shaopeng, Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangladesh, attended the programme, adding significance to the cultural and academic exchange.

The event marked an effort to strengthen Bangladesh-China collaboration through fashion and cultural exchange.
