MIST student Saraf Nawar wins Inspireli Award, world’s largest student architecture competition

Saraf Nawar, a Bangladeshi student from Military Institute of Technology (MIST), was awarded the 9th annual Inspireli Award, world’s largest architecture competition for students, in Architecture category.

Saraf was awarded for her undergraduate thesis project named “Tale of an ocean: Oceantarium Complex of Sonadia” which was based on sustainable and energy efficient solution of ECA (Ecologically Critical Area).

A total of 1,174 registered projects from 87 countries were submitted and among them, Saraf’s project stood out and won the award.

The jury praised her design for seamlessly integrating with the challenging environment, emphasising its innovative approach to conservation and development.
