The Flow Fest to bring two-day wellness festival to Dhaka
The Flow Fest is set to bring Summer Flow 2026, a two-day wellness festival combining fitness, healthcare, creativity, mindfulness and social connection, to Gulshan Shooting Club on 21 and 22 August.
The festival will offer visitors an opportunity to assess their overall wellbeing while exploring a range of activities and services designed to support physical, mental and social wellness, according to a press release.
Guests will begin with The Flow’s wellness assessment, a diagnostic tool that evaluates eight pillars of holistic wellbeing: Movement, Mindfulness, Creativity, Connection, Nutrition, Rest, Gratitude and Purpose. The organisers said the assessment is intended to help participants identify areas of wellbeing that may require greater attention.
Summer Flow 2026 will combine modern health assessments with traditional wellness practices. Visitors will have access to blood sugar testing, BMI assessments, bone density scans, skin analysis, walking gait and foot analysis, nutrition consultations and vaccinations. The festival will also feature Ayurveda, yoga, breathwork and meditation.
A key attraction will be The Rolling Rave, a 7.5-kilometre fun run around Hatirjheel on Friday morning. Participants will be accompanied by a pickup truck carrying a celebrity DJ, allowing music to move alongside the runners throughout the event.
The festival will also introduce Speed Friending, a guided social activity designed to help participants meet new people through short conversations and rotating pairings.
Music, literature and art will form another major part of the programme. The festival will feature live performances by The Dhaka Collective, dance classes covering classical Bharatanatyam, salsa, Bollywood and Shakira Zumba, a Tagore singalong, an open mic and Breakfast Club sessions.
Participants can also take part in art healing sessions, a graphic arts contest and a community mural. The programme will further include a book launch and poetry reading featuring local authors.
For those seeking physical activity and relaxation, the festival will offer martial arts, yoga, cardio, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and meditation sessions led by experienced facilitators.
The organisers said Summer Flow was designed as more than a conventional fitness expo. The festival aims to provide a space for people dealing with the pressures of urban life to move, create, connect and explore different approaches to wellbeing.
The event will also serve as an entry point to The Flow’s year-round community. Participants can continue their interests through weekly classes at The Flow Studio, including Shazzy Om Yoga and Havana Salsa, as well as immersive retreats at Seagull Resort in September and Sairu Resort in Bandarban in November.
Organisations interested in employee wellbeing can also explore The Flow’s Workplace Wellness programmes.
“Summer Flow proves healing does not have to be quiet or solitary. Give people permission to move, create and connect in the same room, and watch how fast the walls come down,” said Shazia Omar, Founder of The Flow Fest.
Tickets and the full programme are available at theflowfest.com/summerflow. Early access will be available to The Flow Studio members and past festival attendees.
