‘From Campus to Leadership’ training programme held at Stamford University Bangladesh
A leadership development programme at Stamford University Bangladesh brought together students, academics and Rotary representatives to promote ethical leadership and responsible decision-making among young people.
Titled “From Campus to Leadership: Developing Ethical Leadership Through the Rotary Four-Way Test”, the programme was jointly organised by the Rotary Club of Eskaton Dhaka and the Rotary Club of Gulshan Tigers, in collaboration with the Stamford University Bangladesh Business Forum, according to the press release.
The event began with a welcome address, followed by Bangladesh’s national anthem. Rotary Club of Gulshan Tigers President GM Sharif delivered opening remarks, followed by an address from Stamford University Bangladesh Registrar Abdul Matin.
Normisjon Bangladesh Country Director Rana D Mazumder conducted the keynote session, focusing on leadership and the development of responsible values among young people.
An interactive question-and-answer session followed, allowing students to engage directly with the speaker.
Rotary International D64 Bangladesh Deputy Country Coordinator and former district governor AKM Shamsul Huda, and Senior Coordinator for Fellowship Imran Momin also delivered special addresses.
The programme centred on the Rotary Four-Way Test, which encourages individuals to consider four questions before making decisions: whether something is truthful, fair to all concerned, conducive to goodwill and better friendships, and beneficial to all concerned.
Through interactive discussions, students were encouraged to connect these principles with their academic lives, relationships, teamwork and future professional responsibilities.
Rotary Club of Eskaton Dhaka President Shegoofta Tarannoom Durdana delivered the vote of thanks. The programme ended with a closing session and refreshments.
The organisers emphasised the importance of developing young people who combine professional competence with integrity, accountability and a commitment to serving others.
They said the initiative reflected the three collaborating organisations’ shared commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for student leadership development and ethical decision-making.
