A team from the IUB Programming Club secured the 2nd Runner-Up position in the Robo Soccer segment at RoboFusion 1.0, a national robotics festival held at University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh (UFTB) on 8 August 2026.

The team, IUBPC Meaw UWU, represented Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) and comprised AKM Rafiul Morshed, Tanjim Rahman Saad, Md Tanvir Ahsan Ankon and Tahmid Ul Alam. The members are students of the departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).

Competing against teams from universities and institutions across Bangladesh, the team demonstrated its technical expertise, teamwork and problem-solving skills in the Robo Soccer segment.

Another IUB Programming Club team, IUBPC DreamForge, participated in the project showcase segment. The team comprised Mahfuj Rohoman, Arif Saharia Shihab and Zuham Bin Mursied, all students of the CSE Department.

The achievement adds another national accolade to the growing record of IUB Programming Club and highlights its members’ capabilities in robotics, emerging technologies and innovative problem-solving.
