JU admission tests for 2026-27 session scheduled for 10-21 January
Jahangirnagar University (JU) will hold its first-year undergraduate admission tests for the 2026-27 academic session from 10 to 21 January 2027, excluding Fridays and Saturdays.
Syed Mohammad Ali Reza, deputy registrar of the university’s Education Branch, confirmed the schedule following a meeting on admission-related matters on Wednesday (28 October).
“Several decisions have been taken regarding the admission tests at the meeting. According to the decisions, the tests are scheduled to be held from 10 to 21 January. The examinations will take place on all days except Fridays and Saturdays,” Ali Reza said.
He said the plan to hold admission tests in divisional cities would not be implemented this year. No final decision has been made on changes to admission test fees or the review of admission test results. Decisions on these matters may be taken at the next meeting, he added.
Ali Reza also said the unit structure for this year’s admission tests would remain unchanged from last year. However, the Law Department will participate in the admission test under the Faculty of Social Sciences this year.
Earlier, on 8 July, the university administration formed four subcommittees to assess the feasibility of holding admission tests in divisional cities.
